A graveside service for Klea B. Haynie will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, Wednesday, March 13, 1991 at 11 a.m. She died of causes related to age, Sunday, in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 88.
Mrs. Haynie was born in Richfield, Utah, August 21, 1902. Later, the family lived in the Driggs, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah areas. In 1915 she made her home in Los Angeles, California, and lived there most of her lifetime. She attended the LDS Business Collgeg and worked for many years as a bookkeeper in California. She was an avid genealogist, and loved to grow roses. She married her husband of 47 years, Orson Haynie, on June 7, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; both being lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.After raising a family in Southern California, her husband retired and they moved to Provo, Utah in 1970. Mr. Haynie preceded her in death in 1974 after which she moved near her children, living briefly in Redmond, Washington; Pleasanton, California; Portland, Oregon; and finally in Phoenix, Arizona.
Survivors include two daughters and a son, Klea Carolyn Goodson, Cherry Hills Village, Colorado; Ann Thornton Scull, Phoenix, Arizona; Orson C. Haynie, McMinnville, Oregon; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Family History Center of the LDS Church in Salt Lake City.
