Mark Stephen Arnim died March 9, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mark was born November 15, 1951 in Burbank, California to Robert Charles and Marion Jones Arnim. He married Becky Richards and was a loving father to their two sons, Andrew, 14, and Nathan, 12, who were a constant source of pride. Later he divorced and on October 11, 1985, married Cindy Owens. Mark adored their beautiful daughter, Kelsy, 2, and was a wonderful, dedicated father and husband.Also survived by his parents, Bob and Marion Arnim; brothers, John; Skip and wife, Betsy; Greg and wife, Suzannah; eight nieces and nephews.
Mark attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.; Westminister, Salt Lake City; and graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in biology. He started Northwest Toxicology in 1981, and nurtured it's growth from a one-man vision to a successful, multi-state business with more than 50 employees. Mark truly cared about his employees and led by his example of honesty and integrity.
Mark was the most caring and compassionate husband, father and friend. Many came to him for guidance, encouragement and strength. In 1991, he was elected to the Vestry of St. James Episcopal Church, where he enthusiastically shared his love of God and wisdom of life.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 15, 2 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 6876 So. Highland Drive. There will be a nursery available at the church. Friends may call on the family at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, on Wednesday between 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Mark Arnim Memorial Fund, set up in trust for the children at First Interstate Bank, 2330 East 7000 South, (Acct. # 28087195).
