Rescue crews in Hiroshima, Japan, work to pull victims from their vehicles that were flattened when a section of monorail track under construction fell from its concrete supports to the roadway below, crushing 11 cars and their occupants. Fourteen people were killed and eight were injured. The 200-foot-long, 60-ton section of steel fell while vehicles were waiting under the monorail for a traffic signal to change. The accident occurred Thursday 400 miles southwest of Tokyo.
