Sherry Kay Hawkins Shelburg, 55, died March 15, 1991 in a Salt Lake Hospital. Her nickname, Peacious, was given to her by her loving husband, and is a combination of "Peaches" and "Precious."

She was born May 21, 1935, in Ogden, Utah to Clyde and Hattie Theo Gray Hawkins. She married John Wesley Shelburg in the Oakland LDS Temple on December 12, 1954. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She was an accomplished concert violinist and educator, and Concert Master of the Wasatch Community Symphony Orchestra. She spent her life cultivating her artistic talents, serving her family and Heavenly Father. Sherry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Sonda Gary; three sons, Jeff and wife Sue; Shane and Wesley. Also survived by five grandchildren: Richard, Heidi, Kristen, Mark, and Joey; mother, Hattie T. Hawkins; sister, Norma Bennett; and many close friends and students.

Funeral Services Wednesday, March 20, 11 a.m., in the South Jordan 8th Ward Chapel, 1988 West 11400 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
