Shila Rhea Gunderson Larsen, age 80, died on March 17, 1991 in Clearfield, Utah after a valiant struggle with a lingering illness.

She was born in Mt. Pleasant, Utah on April 12, 1910 to John Olaf and Rhea Brotherson Gunderson. Married Marlin Hillary Larsen on November 7, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he died on May 13, 1990.She was employed at Remington Arms and Appliance Service Center while raising her children. Her hobby was her family. She enjoyed traveling and went on many trips with her husband and daughter. She excelled with her handiwork, especially her crocheting and shells from her Mexico trips. Active member of the LDS Church, served many years as a visiting teacher. Member of D.U.P. All will remember her as a loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by her family.

Survived by son, Roland and wife Carla Larsen, Salt Lake City; daughter, Jean Ann Cazier, Clearfield; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Ivan Gunderson, Las Vegas, Nevada; and Keith Gunderson, West Valley City; friend and sister-in-law, Leoan Gunderson, Ogden. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, one grandson, and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, March 20, 1991, at the MacKay Lake Hills Mortuary Chapel, 10055 South State Street, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Entombment, MacKay Lake Hills Mausoleum.
