The Dallas County Commissioners Court will consider a request by director Oliver Stone to remodel the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository for a movie about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The court now meets in the building and the sixth floor has been converted into an assassination museum, but Stone wants to make it look like it did when Lee Harvey Oswald supposedly used it as his sniper's nest on Nov. 23, 1963. Stone's film will star Kevin Costner as Jim Garrison, the former New Orleans district attorney who has long suspected that the CIA killed Kennedy and made a dupe out of Oswald. Stone wants to begin filming in April but some county commissioners say it would disrupt operations in the building.
