Marland Darwin Freeman, age 60, passed away February 27, 1991 in Salt Lake City, of heart failure.

Born July 16, 1930 in Murray, to Marland Samuel and Hazel Elizabeth Crane Freeman. Married Shirley E. Doolin, 1951; later divorced. Served in U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve. Graduated West High School. Was a brakeman with the Union Pacific Railroad for 38 years. His special hobbies were golf, music and good friends.Survivors: two sons and one daughter, Corey D. Freeman, ElVerano, California; Lara Freeman Babcock, Syracuse; Kendell M. Freeman, Newberg, Oregon; mother, Salt Lake City; 17 grandchildren; brothers and sister, LaVar Freeman, Salt Lake City; Martha Freeman Pasker, Murray; Greg Freeman, West Valley City. Preceded in death by father, granddaughter, Kamie Babcock.

Funeral services Monday, 10 a.m., Murray 25th Ward, 363 East Vine Street. Friends may call Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church, 9-9:45 a.m. Interment: Herriman Cemetery.
