Melvin Douglas Fisher, beloved father, grandfather and brother, age 81, passed away February 27, 1991, Salt Lake City.

Born April 14, 1909 Salt Lake City, to Melvin Ranck and Esther Lillace Brown Fisher. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a partner in the Breeze Inn, in East Mill Creek, where he spent many hours of his time and made many friends. Doug enjoyed hunting and fishing and he spent many hours with his son, grandson and friends at the "happy hunting grounds" and the Strawberry Reservoir. He believed in helping people and many people benefited by his generosity.Survived by a son, Gerald D., Union; daughter, Geraldine Judd, Westminister, Colorado; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Lucile) Hollingshead, California; Mrs. Woodrow (Vera) Caldwell, Mrs. Al (Irma) Green, Mrs. Kent (Florence) Anderson, all Holladay. Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, one great-granddaughter, Audrey Brummer.

Funeral services Monday, 12 noon, Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, where friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services. Burial: Elysian Burial Gardens.
