Nominees are being sought for the 1991 Richard D. Bass Achievement Award. The award, including a $5,000 fellowship, will go to a mid-career high school teacher in the humanities.

The award perpetuates the concept that outstanding efforts of personal achievement result in increased understanding of humanity and its potential. The award honors Bass, who in 1986 was the first person from Utah to climb the highest peaks on each of the seven continents and the oldest, at 55, to climb Mount Everest.Applications are available from the Snowbird Institute, Snowbird, UT 84092, telephone 742-2222, extension 4150.
