The First Presidency has announced the calling of eight more mission presidents. Specific assignments for the presidents and their wives will be announced later. They will begin their service about July 1. Those called are:

Emilio Liberio Diaz, 39, La Florida 2nd Ward, Santiago Chile La Florida Stake; regional representative, former counselor in mission presidency, stake president, bishop; served in Chile Mission, 1974-76; area director for Church Educational System; received accounting degree from Superior Institute of Commerce, attended State Technical University; born in Angol, Chile, a son of Emilio Anibal and Maria Teresa Quevedo Diaz; married Julia Maria Munoz; five children. She is a Sunday School teacher, former Relief Society president, stake Young Women counselor, ward Primary president, seminary teacher; received education degree from the University of Concepcion; born in Concepcion, Chile, a daughter of Carlos Alberto and Julia Ester Fernandez Munoz.

David L. Gillette, 53, Monument Park 17th Ward, Salt Lake Monument Park Stake; Sunday School teacher, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, elders quorum president, Young Men president; served in Hawaii Mission, 1957-59; attorney for Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall and McCarthy; received bachelor's and juris doctor's degrees from University of Utah; born in Pasadena, Calif., a son of Samuel L. and Zelpha U. Jones Gillette; married Doris A. Price; five children. She is Young Women president, former stake Young Women counselor, stake Primary counselor, stake and ward activities chairman, stake roadshow chairman, junior Sunday School coordinator, Relief Society counselor; received bachelor's degree from University of Utah; born in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Harold Harmon and Hazel Ruth Sewell Price.

Charles M. Hunter, 41, Ririe 3rd Ward, Ririe Idaho Stake; ward mission leader and stake missionary, former high councilor, bishop and counselor, elder's quorum president, seminary teacher, Sunday School teacher; served in Argentina South Mission, 1968-70; dentist for Idaho Falls Dental Group; received bachelor's degree from BYU and dental degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.; born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, a son of David Earl and Hettie Aegerter Hunter; married Susan Jane Vignone; two children. She is a stake missionary and Young Women counselor, former stake girl's camp director, Primary teacher and chorister, Relief Society counselor, Cub Scout den leader, Young Women president, Primary president and counselor; physical therapist for Self-Pediatric Physical Therapy Services; received bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.; born in Hartford, Conn., a daughter of Prosper John and Phyllis Ann Tryon Vignone.

Robert Ashley Madsen, 56, Arlington Hills Ward, Salt Lake Emigration Stake; high councilor, former temple sealer, stake president, bishop and counselor, Young Men president; served in British Mission, 1955-57; manager/owner of Madsen Furniture Company; received bachelor's degree from University of Utah; born in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Francis Armstrong and Elen Louise Wallace Madsen; married Caroline Stewart; five children. Ricardo Oscar Michalek, 46, Buenos Aires 2nd Ward, Buenos Aires Argentina West Stake; high councilor, former stake president and counselor, bishop's counselor, high priest group leader, elders quorum president; served in Andes Mission, 1966-68; pediatrician; born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a son of Cirilo and Justina Victoria Cea Michalek; married Teresa Gloria Losinno; six children.
