Teams of skiers began logging vertical feet downhill early this morning and all for a good cause - multiple sclerosis.

As part of the Jimmie Heuga Mazda Express, teams of three skiers began skiing on a special run at Park City. Teams will ski nonstop for four hours. The winning team will have logged the most vertical feet skied downhill during the day.Funds raised from this event go to the Heuga Center, which was founded in 1984. The center conducts and coordinates studies aimed at improving the quality of life for those with potentially debilitating neurological disorders, namely MS.

Heuga was an Olympic medalist and a top competitor when he was diagnosed with MS at age 26. Heuga said he regained control of his life with personal programs of exercise, stretching and self-motivation.
