Chris K. Steadman, 80, passed away March 20, 1991 at a local nusing home.

He was born May 12, 1910 in West Jordan, Utah to Walter Thomas Steadman and Mary Nora Larsen Steadman. He married Roberta Lindsay on June 2, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Chris worked at the West Jordan Sugar Factory as a foreman and was a self-employed poultryman and gardener. He also worked as a Parks and Cemetery Supervisor in West Jordan and later was employed as a Utah State Security officer. He was a member of the LDS High Priests quorum of the Bellview Ward in Sandy. He served as ward clerk for seven bishops in the West Jordan and Bennion areas. Chris also filled a stake mission.Survivors include his wife, Roberta, Sandy; brothers and sisters, Albert W. and wife, Onedia, Tooele; Marvin L. and wife, LouJean, West Jordan; Ray I. and wife, Jewel, Clifton, Idaho; Mildred and husband, Frank W. Oakeson, South Jordan; Minnie and husband, Alvin E. Fors, and a brother-in-law, Garnett Player, both of Cottonwood; Marion and husband, Nathan G. Erickson, Tooele; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother, Louis; sisters, Phyllis and Beatrice.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 25, 1991 at 1 p.m. in the Bellview Ward Chapel, 9501 Poppy Lane, Sandy. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday at the church from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
