Louis Anton Kosec, age 79, died March 23, 1991 in a Price hospital.

Born June 14, 1911 in Superior, Wyoming, son of John Kosec and Theresa Krissman Kosec. Married Annie Skerl April 9, 1937 in Salt Lake City. Member Joppa Lodge #26, F.&.A.M, El Kalah Temple, York Rite, and other Masonic affiliations. A life long democrat, he was elected Carbon County Commissioner, 1954-62. Very active in UMWA, past member International Board, past president Local #1206 prior to retirement from U.S. Steel, Washer Plant, with 23 years service. Honorary life member Price Elks Lodge #1550. Member International Association of Machinists, Local # 1014, and Western Slavonic Assoc.Louie aided in formation of Carbon County Co-League while playing for the Spring Glen Mud Hens. Later helped organize Little League and Pony League umpire associations.

Survived by his wife, Annie; and two sons, Richard and Paul Kosec, all Spring Glen; grandson, Adam Kosec, Greeley, Colo.; also survived by brother, James Kosec, Spring Glen. Preceded in death by parents, four brothers, John, Martin, Rudy and Joseph; two sisters, Rose and Mary.

Masonic funeral services Wednesday, 1 p.m, Mitchell Chapel, where friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday. Family will be at Mitchell's Tuesday evening 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper. In lieu of flowers, family suggests, Shriners Childrens Hospital, Fairfax Ave and Virginia St., SLC, Ut 84103, or charity of your choice.
