Dean E Olsen, age 76, of Provo, died March 24, 1991 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, from a heart attack.

Born August 16, 1914 in Lakeview, Utah, the son of Parley Andrew and Eliza Amelia Beal Olsen. He married Florence Snow, June 22, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she died August 20, 1988.He received his education in the Provo City Schools, graduating from Provo High. He graduated from BYU in Animal Husbandry. He worked on the family dairy farm and did milk testing throughout the state. After the sale of the dairy, he worked for Provo City Power until he retired in 1980. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was a High Priest in the Slate Canyon 2nd Ward. He served in many callings in the church. He was the ward clerk for more than 20 years. He served in the High Priest leadership and was currently serving in the Sunday School Presidency. He worked in the extraction program for the church. He was a devoted temple worker attending the temple each week. He was a home teacher all his life. He was a member of the Provo Senior Citizens.

He is survived by one son and four daughters, Nena O. Brimhall, Taylorsville; Mrs. Blaine (Eileen) Larsen, Orem; Marvin Dean Olsen, West Jordan; Mrs. Blake (Camille) Baxter, American Fork; Mrs. R. Dan (Louise) Pittman, Sandy; 28 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother and four sisters, Clyde M. Olsen, Provo; Mrs. Wesley (Ruby) Petersen, Sandy; Mrs. Carroll (Pearl) Bagley, Bellevue, Washington; Mrs. Barney (Ronella) Cannon, St. George; Mrs. Velma Nielsen, Springville. He was preceded in death by one daughter Sylvia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28, 1991, 11 a.m., in the Slate Canyon 2nd Ward, 715 Utah Avenue in Provo. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m., Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, or at the church one hour prior to services. Interment: Provo City Cemetery.
