Weston Lawrence Monson, age 40, our beloved husband, son, brother and uncle passed away quietly in his sleep of a heart attack on the morning of March 23, 1991 at his home.

Born June 8, 1950 in Salt Lake City to Smith Weston and Dorothy Brammer Monson. Married Judy Kay Newbold June 26, 1987 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Weston was an avid sports enthusiast, he especially loved hiking and played volley ball for many years. He was a great BYU and U of U fan. At the time of his death he worked as a Welfare Investigator with the Department of Social Services, State of Utah, and was attending the U of U where he was preparing for graduation. He was an active member of the LDS Church having served a British South Mission 1969-71 and held many positions within the Church. He loved good music. A former member of the Mormon Youth Chorus and at the time of his death was a member of the Salt Lake Valley Choir. His keen sense of humor, his love for the gospel, his love of the outdoors and his family endeared him to all who knew him.Weston is survived by his loving and lovely wife, Judy; mother; brothers and sisters, David Smith Monson and his wife Julie; Gregory Brammer Monson and his wife Nancy; Marjorie Monson Meads and her husband David; Marilee Monson Cracroft and her husband Tod, all of Salt Lake City; Carl Douglas Monson, Honolulu, Hawaii; and his wife's parents, James and Frances Newbold, and her brothers and sisters. Also survived by his 28 nieces and nephews with whom he had a very special relationship. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28, 1991 at 12 noon in the Murray West Stake Center, 619 West 5750 South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the ward 10:45-11:45 a.m. Burial, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
