John "Jack" Albert Osburn, 61, passed away Sunday, March 24, 1991, of a sudden heart attack.

He was born July 12, 1929, the oldest son of John Alexander and Charlotte Sophie Hagedorn Osburn. Spent his early youth in the South Salt Lake area and attended Granite High School. Graduated from East High School in Salt Lake City. Served an LDS Mission to New Zealand from 1950 to 1953. Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Graduated from BYU with a degree in Accounting. Worked for the General Accounting Office in Washington, DC and Hill AFB for a number of years. In later years he was self-employed. Was an avid reader and collector of books. Active member of the Sandy 3rd Ward. Married Marilyn Griffiths in 1958; later divorced. Married Betty Ann Aliman; later divorced.Among survivors are two daughters, Julie and Michelle; five grandchildren; two brothers, Leland Osburn, San Jose, California; and Calvin Osburn, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be 12 noon, Wednesday, March 27, Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., and one half hour prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park following funeral services.
