Eldon Roland Harding, 67, carpenter, contractor, appraiser, and building inspector, died March 25, 1991 in Provo, Utah, of Lymphoma.

He was born on the family farm in Vineyard, Utah, a son of Roland Jesse and Nora Clegg Harding. He married Golda Norlyene Ohran June 26, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; they were later divorced. He was an Eagle Scout. Attended Lincoln High School and was Drum Major of the High School Band. Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps, stationed in Enid, Oklahoma. A Major in the Civil Air Patrol and participated in many rescue missions for downed aircraft. He worked for the FHA and the State Building Board where he was an inspector at UVCC, various buildings on the U of U campus, and the State Training School Expansion Project. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Pleasant Grove. He was a member of the LDS Church and was planning to marry Joy Green this May in the Provo LDS Temple.He is survived by four sons and a daughter, Eldon Randy, Mesa, Arizona; Roland Duane, West Jordan; Carl Lance, American Fork; Gary Mark, Orem; Mrs. Nicholas (Debra Kay) Thomas, Fruit Heights; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Larson, Orem; Leah Rowley, Payson; Verna Loveless; two brothers, Alvin Harding, Vineyard; and Dale J. Harding, Sandy.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. in the American Fork 13th Ward Chapel, 975 North 60 East. Friends may call at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the Church, one hour prior to services. Burial, Provo City Cemetery.
