Naomi Jane Villett Bateman Larew died March 26, 1991, at St. Benedict's Hospital, Ogden, Utah, due to cancer and complications.

Born October 29, 1916, in Preston, Idaho to Joseph and Sue Barker Villett. Parents later divorced. Naomi's mother married Fred A. Bateman in Inglewood, California, and subsequent to this marriage, he adopted Naomi. On October 6, 1935, Naomi married Melvin G. Larew, in Inglewood, California. Naomi was a member of the LDS Church and held various positions, including Primary president of Clearfield Second Ward. She also served as Clearfield City Treasurer.Naomi was artistic by nature and was noted for her many needlework and aluminum flower creations. She had a great love of people and nature, especially flowers. She was a sweet and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survived by her husband, Melvin; three children, Sandra L. Bangerter, Kailua, Hawaii; Melvin Jr., Sandy; Fred, Rosburg, Oregon; nine grandchildren, Corinne Hamilton, Leslie Anne Grayson, J. Christian Bangerter, Jr., Emilie Larew, Isaac Larew, Keith Hill, Rochelle Hill, Stefanie Larew, Elizabeth Larew; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan Hamilton, Chad Grayson and Steven Grayson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 30, 1991, at Clearfield Third Ward, 231 E. 300 North St., Clearfield, at 11 a.m., with Bishop Reed W. Billman officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 S. State Street, Clearfield, Friday, March 29th from 6-7 p.m., and Saturday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the family plot, Newton Cemetery, Newton, Utah.
