Arda Margaret Neilson Hatch, age 91, passed away March 28, 1991 in a local hospital.

Born September 2, 1899 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Victor A. and Evelyn Brandon Neilson. Married Willard S. Hatch, April 11, 1923 in Farmington, Utah; he preceded her in death, December 31, 1969. Member of the Alta Club, Salt Lake Country Club and Ambassador Club.She co-founded W.S. Hatch Co. (HATCHCO Trucking) with her husband in 1936 serving as vice-president (1944-1969) and president (1970-1986). In 1977, Mrs. Hatch was deemed "Utah's First Lady of Trucking" by the the Utah Motor Transport Association and was the recipient of their distinguished "President's Award" for being a pioneer leader in Utah trucking. She was honored by the American Legion and Job Services in 1977 and received an award in behalf of her company for Veteran Employment practices. In 1978, the Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce honored Mrs. Hatch as a trucking pioneer and presented her with their annual "Outstanding Service to the Community Award". She will be sorely missed by the many who loved her.

Survived by nieces and nephews, Carol Mills, Lawrence Mills, Dick Neilson, all of Salt Lake City; Raymond Neilson, Clear Lake Oaks, California; Barbara N. Bybee, Bennion; Charla Neilson, Ukiah, California; several grand-nieces and -nephews. Preceded in death by brother, Ray Neilson; and sister, Beth Mills.

Funeral service Saturday, March 30th, 2 p.m., Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Friday evening 6-8 p.m., and Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to: St. Joseph's Villa, 475 East Ramona Avenue, SLC, UT 84115.
