Fourth-ranked Penn State won the final game of a five-game match, 17-15, to seal a victory over the BYU men's volleyball team Friday night in Smith Fieldhouse.

BYU came out on fire winning the first game 15-7 and going ahead in the second game 5-1, but Penn State came back to win the second game 15-9. The Cougars regained the momentum and won the third game, 15-5, to take a 2-1 match lead, only to lose it again and drop the fourth game, 15-2.The Nittany Lions increased their record to 18-9, while BYU dropped to 1-16. The two teams play again Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Smith Fieldhouse.
