According to Ken Knight, vice chairman of Sinclair Oil and symphony-board chairman elect, nearly 40 percent of the orchestra's gift income is from corporate donors.

Outgoing board chairman Deedee Corradini will preside over the Thursday luncheon, sponsored by Franklin International Institute and co-hosted by Sinclair and Little America.

- GOV. NORMAN H. BANGERTER and Mayor Palmer DePaulis have endorsed a cultural exchange, involving the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, between the State of Utah, City of Salt Lake, and the City of Chemnitz in what used to be East Germany.

The newly-appointed Lord Mayor of Chemnitz, Dieter Noll, and his associates have invited Ririe-Woodbury to return to Chemnitz to perform and tour the area next Sept. 16-Oct. 26. Features of the company's stay will include a collaboration with German choreographers Simone and Michael Manthey, with a resultant joint program and tour. R-W will also dance in the Chemnitzer Begegnungen Festival of the Arts in September.

Two years ago Ririe-Woodbury became the first and only American dance company in 15 years to perform in the Berliner Festagg, and in the Chemnitz (then called Karl-Marx-Stadt) Festival.

Bangerter and DePaulis have invited the Mantheys to make an exchange appearance on the Capitol Theater stage. "We can think of no other art form more superbly suited to celebrate freedom of movement than modern dance," said Bangerter.
