Samuel Sylvester Craghead, age 90, passed away March 1, 1991 at home of heart failure.
Born December 21, 1900 in Brigham City to Joseph Hyrum and Jane Sylvester Godfrey Craghead. Married Iola B. Birch April 27, 1926 in Farmington, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a cement mason contractor. High Priest in the LDS Church, served in Elders Quorum presidency. Member, past vice president and president of Operative Plasters, and Cement Masons Union, AFL-CIO Local #68 for 43 years.Survived by wife; children, Venice Taylor Woodson; Arlen S. Craghead; Karen A. Crag
head; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., Millcreek 12th Ward, 602 East 3900 South. Friends may call Tuesday evening, 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, and Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to services.
