Some 40 to 50 works of art, including original paintings, prints, sculpture and jewelry pieces, will be auctioned next Sunday, March 10, during an "Art for Life" fund-raising benefit being held at the Tivoli Gallery, 225 S. State St., for the Utah AIDS Foundation.
The event will begin at 1:30 p.m. and continue througout the afternoon and early evening. The program will include a variety of performing and visual arts.Artworks have been donated by several well-known local and regional artists.
Music will be provided by Gregory Saint-Thomas, local pianist-composer (whose sculpture, jewelry and artwork will be included in the auctions), and by Mark Chambers' "Completely Gershwin" cabaret revue performers.
Light refreshments will also be served.
Admission is $35 per couple, with proceeds from both the ticket sales and auctions going to the Utah AIDS Foundation. Tickets will be available at the door or can be purchased in advance by calling the foundation at 359-5555.
