Linda Bloodworth-Thomason has some interesting ideas about literature and television. "If Mark Twain were alive today, he would be writing in television," Bloodworth-Thomason, the creator and key writer of the hit CBS shows "Designing Women" and "Evening Shade," says in an interview in The New York Times. "I just reread `Little Women' not too long ago. You know, it was pretty boring. Not to disparage the great American novel, but I did not think those four women were any more interesting than Mary Jo, Julia, Suzanne and Charlene (the "Designing Women" characters.)"
