Roscoe Lynn Magleby, died March 3, 1991 of complicationsfollowing brain surgery.

Born October 1, 1909 in Richfield Utah to Parley and Elizabeth Maiben Magleby. Married Virginia Kenner, in the Manti LDS Temple July 8, 1949. Attended BYU. Fulfilled an LDS mission to Hawaii. Served in the South Pacific during WW II with the 115th Engineers. He was a command Sgt/Major fulltime with the 144th Evacuation Hospital Unit, Utah National Guard.Roscoe was a High Priest in the Grandview 2nd Ward. Active in Cub Scouting. He loved sports and was an active bowler.

Survived by his wife, children: Mrs. Robert (Kathy) Lyman, Ken Magleby, Michael Magleby, Richard Magleby, Julie Magleby and one granddaughter, Vickie Lyman all of Salt Lake City. Three sisters: Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Blake, Mrs. Don (Bette) Love both of SLC, and Mrs. Larry (Mick) Cabral of San Leandro, Calif. Preceded in death by two brothers: Clifford and Arlo, two sister: Floreen Rands and Ina Magleby.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday March 6,1991 in the Grandview 2nd Ward, 2930 So. 2000 East. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Dr., Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and at the ward 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. prior services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
