After shooting identical 18-hole team scores of 315 Monday, defending champion BYU found itself in fourth place following the first 36 holes of play at the Women's Utah-Dixie Golf Classic.

Lamar and Texas A&M finished the day with 619 strokes apiece to lead the 19-team field. Oklahoma is third with 623, followed by BYU with 630.BYU's Ruby Chico carded rounds of 76-79--155 to tie teammate Robin Barry's 77-78--155 for sixth place. Lachell Simmons shot 79-77--156 and is tied for eleventh.
