The Utah Valley Regional Family History Center will offer free classes in family history research Sunday, March 10.
Located on the fourth floor of the Lee Library on the Brigham Young University campus, the center is open on the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 9 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.Computer courses offered Sunday will include the PAF (Personal Ancestry File) workshop for beginning IBM computer and PAF software, 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.; beginning Macintosh PAF, 11 a.m.; Spanish speaking IBM PAF, 3 p.m.; and PAF using genealogy exchange on IBM, 4:30 p.m.
Regular courses available include beginning research phase I, 5 p.m.; beginning research phase II, 11 a.m.; Spanish-speaking genealogy, 2 p.m.; ward consultant training, 4 p.m.; U.S. Census records, 5 p.m.; Family History Library Catalog on computer, 2 p.m.; and International Genealogical Index on computer, 3:30 p.m.
In addition, Eleanor Wollenzien will teach a class on "German Research" at 4 p.m.
