The Bureau of Land Management has named five new members to its district advisory council.

BLM District Manager Jerry Goodman said the new members include Richfield Mayor Jay C. Andersen, Jay Craig Condor and Lorraine Gregerson. Their appointments will run for three years.Also appointed were Larry P. Sower and Abner Johnson, who will complete terms previously held by William H. Collins and Max Call, who resigned last year.

Andersen replaces state Sen. Cary G. Peterson as the elected official on the council.

A sales representative for the southern Utah area with Caterpillar Corp., Andersen is past president of the Richfield Booster Club and is a member of the Association of Governments and the High Committee for Cities and Towns.

Gregerson replaces Woody Farnsworth as a citizen representative on the board. She is tourism coordinator for Panoramaland and has served as the deputy clerk for the 6th District and 10th Circuit courts.

Condor replaces Klar Robinson in the council's wildlife category. He is the division chair for Sevier Valley Applied Technology Center's human services section.

The council provides advice on planning and management of the public lands within the district.
