Ralph Christiansen Smith, 82, died March 3, 1991 at a local hospital.
Born April 13, 1908 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Frederick and Annie Christiansen Smith. Married Helen M Gamett on December 12, 1931 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died June 17, 1980. Employed at Kennecott Copper Corp. Smelter for 32 years. Member of Magna Senior Citizens. In earlier years was known for basketball skills. Loved gardening.Survivors: children, Mrs. James (Geri) Smith, Bennion; Stanley G., Warrenton, Virginia; Mrs. Kenneth (Annette) Roberts, Taylorsville; Karen, West Valley; Steven R., Stansbury Park; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Peirce, Orem.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 7, 1991 at 11 a.m. in the Magna Central Stake Center, 8181 West 3320 So. Friends may call at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church 10-10:45 a.m. Burial, Valley View Memorial Park.
