Darrell S. Watts, 64, good friend and loving family man, died of cancer at his home on March 3, 1991.

Born January 2, 1927 in Murray, the youngest of nine children to Lambert and Bessie Hackford Watts. Darrell served proudly during World War II. He married Mary Whitehead September 25, 1948. She preceded him in death just three months ago. Father of four children and a retired 30 year employee of U P & L. Dad will be sadly missed by his family and friends, but remembered fondly for his strength, friendship and sense of humor, that will live forever in his stories and our thoughts.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his name to Hospice of Salt Lake 2970 So. Main, Salt Lake City, UT 84115 . His family extends special thanks for the love and care given by Larae and Frankie.

Survivors: son, Lonnie; daughters, Becky, Darylle, Debbie; other family members include Kent Pelch, Terry Simpson, Bruce Powelson, Stephaine Watts; nine grandchildren, Nik, Larry, Michelle, Brandon, Nikol, MaryAnn, Jessica, Cole and Darrell; brother, Chancy; sisters, Afton and Donna.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 1991, at 2 p.m. in the Murray City Cemetery, 5600 South and Vine Street. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
