U.S. District Judge Milton I. Shadur accepted the settlement to the class action lawsuit on Friday.
Most of the money in the agreement will go to about 3,000 women who were food and beverage managers on or since July 1, 1986.
The lawsuit was filed in 1988 by Joyce Meiresonne and Toni Reedy, then restaurant managers at Marriott's Chicago downtown hotel.
