Robert Keith Nelson, age 59, died March 4, 1991, at his home in Orem, of cancer.
Born March 7, 1931 in Lehi to Wilford Osmond and Stella Pearl Conder Nelson. Married Shirley May Elliott, February 19, 1954, in Provo. Grew up in American Fork, graduated from American Fork High School. Has resided in Orem for the past 34 years. Had been employed at Geneva Steel for 37 years. Served in Korea during Korean war. Robert loved the outdoors, nature, hunting, fishing and boating. Just being outdoors made him happy. He loved his family, especially all of his grandchildren. He was a good and kind neighbor and was loved by all who knew him.Survived by his wife, Orem; four daughters, Nancy Lee Price, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Daryl (Susan) Thompson, Brigham City; Mrs. Greg (Robin) Black, Las Vegas, Nevada; Mrs. Stacy (Linda) Reid, Orem; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Conder Nelson, American Fork; Wilford Osmond Nelson, Jr., Twin Falls, Idaho; Glen C. Nelson, Las Vegas, Nevada. Preceded in death by a brother, James Boyer Nelson.
Funeral services Thursday, 11 a.m., Sharon Park Sixth Ward, 150 East 600 North, in Orem. Friends may call Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 North State, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. or at the ward chapel Thursday, one hour prior to services. Interment: American Fork City Cemetery. Full Military Rites will be accorded by the VFW District #4.
