Ralph Wright Butterworth, 86, of South Ogden, died March 4, 1991 in an Ogden hospital of complications from cancer.

Born February 25, 1905 in Millcreek, Utah, son of Isaiah and Sarah Louise Wright Butterworth. Married Mary Melva Bybee, September 29, 1930 in Seattle, Washington; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Had worked as salesman for the Continental Baking Co. in Ogden. High Priest in the Ogden 39th Ward. Had been a sealer in the Ogden LDS Temple and home teacher. Ralph loved flowers, gardening and people.Survived by his wife, South Ogden; brother-in-law, Kennard Bybee, Kaysville; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Butterworth, Salt Lake City; Dora Bybee, West Point.

Funeral services Thursday, 11 a.m., Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd, with Bishop Reed Myers, officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Interment: Hooper City Cemetery.
