One of Willie Nelson's properties in Austin, Texas, has been sold to another Texas legend: former University of Texas football coach Darrell Royal.

Royal paid $117,375 for Nelson's 76-acre Pedernales spread, which has a nine-hole golf course, recording studio and country club, at a public auction by American Federal Bank of Dallas, which held the first lien on the property.The Internal Revenue Service, which seized Nelson's property in several states to help pay $16.7 million in back taxes and penalties, had tried unsuccessfully to auction the property in January. They set the minimum bid at that auction at $575,478.
