Lorna Sloan Eldredge died in Salt Lake City, March 4, 1991. Her life was dedicated to serving and uplifting others. Her selfless devotion and generosity endeared her to all who knew her. She shared our pain and sorrows as well as our joys and triumphs.
She was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada on February 23, 1904 to Grace Ann Kearl and John Samuel Sloan. She married Reed Smoot Eldredge on November 20, 1924 in the Cardston LDS Temple; he died on December 16, 1984. She was an active member of the LDS Church and had served in many callings.She is survived by two daughters and a son, Anne E. and her husband, Dean Coy, Joan E. and her husband, Don Geis, all of Salt Lake City; Stephen Reed and his wife, Yoshie Eldredge, New Canaan, Conn.; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Phyllis S. Allen, Provo; Reid J. Sloan, Salt Lake City; Max K. Sloan, Loomis, Calif.; William K. Sloan, St. George; Emma S. Smith, CarmanGay, Alberta; Gilbert K. Sloan, San Diego, Calif.; and Jean S. Sprague, Carmel, Calif.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 9, 1991 at 1 p.m. at the MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
