On a record-shattering night in Provo, BYU's women's gymnastics team beat Utah State 194.05 to 191.95.
In bettering the school record of 191.2 that they set two nights ago in Logan by almost three points, the Cougars set new team bests on every apparatus, including their first ever score over 49 (49.05 on floor.)Individually, Marianne Squires set a new school record on bars with a 9.85 and on floor with BYU's first ever 9.9.
Moments before Squires' 9.9, freshman Christy McAdams broke the school floor record of 9.8 with a 9.85, acing a routine that included a rare full-twisting double back.
Utah State's Michelle Bugbee was third with a 38.60.
The Aggies were hurt in the final two rotations when all-arounder Barb Zahl was injured during warm-ups for the floor exercise and was unable to go on floor and beam.
