Fifth-graders from Lowell Elementary raced through Crossroads Plaza in search of clues in the Crossroads Plaza 10th Anniversary Word Hunt. The mall focused on literacy in its anniversary celebration in conjunction with Utah's Light on Literacy Week. Youngsters picked up clue sheets at the information desk. Each of 10 clues led them to a store in the mall. In that store, a page from the Deseret News was resting on an easel. The answer to the question was highlighted on the newspaper. After youngsters answered all 10 questions, they filed their clue sheets at the information desk. Plaza officials will hold a drawing Saturday night. The winner receives a $250 shopping spree at Waldenbooks. The Deseret News was a co-sponsor of the project in conjunction with its No Books Day.
