The recall affects specially coded boxes of sugar-sweetened, chocolate Jell-O Cook n' Serve Pudding and Pie Filling and chocolate Jell-O Instant Pudding and Pie Filling, in both 51/8 ounce and 31/2 ounce sizes, General Foods spokeswoman Nan Redmond said.On the side of the affected boxes is an embossed code starting with the numbers 1032 through 1039 followed by the letter S and other letters or numbers.

The tainted pudding mix was distributed in California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Montana and Idaho.
