Never let it be said that San Franciscans don't know how to enjoy a good drought.

The city - like all of California - is going through its fifth consecutive year of drought, and every afternoon radio station KKHI is playing classical music with a water theme. The selections include such works as Claude Debussy's "The Gardens in the Rain," George Frideric Handel's "Water Music Suite" and Ottorino Respighi's "The Fountains of Rome."

Messages urging water conservation accompany the program, said Kim Kinna of the city's water department, which is sponsoring the music.

She said the radio station has more than 80 recordings of classical music devoted to water.
