Salt Lake County's new jail, 3300 South and 1100 West, is half built, county officials say. So far, construction is on schedule. Inmates are expected to begin entering the facility Dec. 1. "This is one of the few construction projects I've been involved in that has not had any major glitches," said County Manager Kerry Steadman. "We're still on time and below budget."
