Arvilla Ford Woodbury, 90, died March 7, 1991 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.
Born March 6, 1901 in Kanarraville, Utah to Samuel Thomas and Rachel Maria Williams Ford. Married Arthur Hartley Woodbury on March 10, 1921 in Cedar City, Utah. He died October 16, 1958. She and her family operated the Conoco Gas Station and Store in Kanarraville from 1939 until 1958. Arvilla loved life and her family, loved the beauties of nature and enjoyed keeping abreast of the changes in the world around her. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in the Primary and Relief Society organizations throughout her life. She was a talented seamstress and she enjoyed crocheting the many beautiful afghans she made for her family and friends.She is survived by three daughters and three sons, Mrs. Denor (Irene) Pollock, St. George; Mrs. Jack (Carol) Pollock, Orem; Lorraine Woodbury, Las Vegas, Nevada; Clair Woodbury, Cedar City; Clayton Woodbury, Kannaraville and Richard Woodbury, West Valley City; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, one brother, Chloe Leeder and Afton Ford, both of Kannaraville. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Helen W. Beatty and her grandson, Dale Woodbury.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 11, 1991 at 1 p.m. at the Kannaraville LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Interment: Kannaraville City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
