Two recreation roads will be opened Memorial Day weekend, but late spring snowstorms have rendered the status of several other roads in the state questionable for the traditional opening of the summer travel season.

U-65, the East Canyon road over Big Mountain, and U-92, the Alpine Loop road, will be open May 27, the Utah Department of Transportation said.UDOT doesn't know if the following roads will be open because heavy snow accumulation still exists:

U-39, Monte Cristo road; U-190, Guardsman's Pass; U-150, Mirror Lake road; U-35, Wolfcreek Pass; and U-148, Cedar Breaks road.
