Burrell R. Porter, age 68, died May 22, 1991 in a Price hospital.

Born January 15, 1923, Delta, Utah, son of Melvin Omer Porter and Agnes L. Rice. Married Rose Marie Saccomano, September 16, 1950 in Helper, Utah. Member of the Catholic Church. Member St. Anthony Knights of Columbus, Council No. 2611, Carbon Assembly 1550 4th Degree Knights. Elected St. Anthony Parish Council. Graduate of Carbon High School. Served U.S. Army World War II. Supervisor Helper Post Office prior to retiring in 1978. Member American Postal Union, past president Carbon High Band Parents Association.Survived by wife, Helper; three daughters and spouses, Mrs. James (Kathy) Keller, Orem; Mrs. Tim (Diane) Simmons, Lawrence; Mrs. Brent (Joyce) Larsen, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, one sister, E. Ross Porter, Orem; Lynn K. Porter, Ft. Collins, Colorado; Melva Jean Porter, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by parents and a brother, Vernon.

Funeral Mass Saturday, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service Friday evening 7 p.m. Mitchell Chapel, where friends may call Friday and Saturday prior to services.
