WHAT WORKS

For crappie: 1/32nd to 1/8th ounce jigs - chartreuse, white and yellow. If water is murky use dark colors.

For bass: Use traditional spinner baits, crank baits, jigs and plastic worms.

Others: Night crawlers on the bottom for bullhead and perce. Muskie being caught on bass lures.

DETAILS

In the spring fish upper arms. Crapple and bass hang out where streams enter or in willows and brush. Perch and bullhead in same area. In summertime, fish move into deeper water. Best fishing in the summer is in narrows by dam.

Notes - Good number of crappie caught last year in sprng, many in 12 - to 13-inch range. limit on muskie is 1 fish 30-inch or larger. All bass under 15 inches must be returned. Great place for kids. Very fast for perch and bullhead from shore. Best fishing mornings and evenings after waterskiers have pulled off.
