James Noal Ward, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 1991 at his home in Sandy, Utah following a lingering illness of several years. He was 64.

Born May 19, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to J. Frank and Luella Petersen Ward. Married Ruth Ailene Sorenson December 5, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. Graduated from East High School an attended the University of Utah. Veteran of the United States Navy, World War II. Fulfilled a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the New England States Mission, 1948-1950. Active in local sales organizations for several years, and retired for medical reasons from Kennecott Copper in 1984, following 16 years of service. He was a High Priest and served in numerous church callings throughout his life. He was a devoted, ever-caring and inspirational husband, brother, father and grandfather, a true friend.Survived by wife, Ruth; four children, son, James Mark and wife, Aimee Ward, Salt Lake City; daughter, Joan Ward and husband, Steven Hogan, Woods Cross; daughter, Jennifer Ward and husband, Ricardo D'Ambrosio, Salt Lake City; son, Matthew Eric Ward, Sandy; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Paul and his wife, Eloise Ward, St. George, Utah; Lyle M. and his wife, Virginia Ward, Salt Lake City; Robert B. and his wife, Florence Ward, Ogden.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, June 1, 1991 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 S. Highland Drive, where friends may call 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
