DEATH: HARRY L. KING

Harry LeVerne King, age 74, died June 9, 1991 at a local Salt Lake hospital.

Born February 5, 1917 in Denver, Colorado, son of Harry Alpha and Hazel Marie Cushing King. Married June Hanson, March 16, 1941 in Newman Grove, Nebraska. Retired in 1978 from Mt.Bell where he was marketing manager for 32 years. Served on the Church Council at Zion Lutheran Church. Member of Phi Gamma Delta, University of Colorado, Boulder. Member of Salt Lake Executive Association, where he served as coordinator for three years. Member of Telephone Company Pioneers and YMCA Bowling League. Served in Quartermaster Corps in the Army during Word War II in North Africa and Italy. Graduate from South High School, Denver, Colorado, Class of 1935.Survived by wife, June, Salt Lake City; mother, Hazel M. King, Salt Lake City; daughters, Mrs. Keith (Janice) Poulsen, Salt Lake City; Mrs. William (Alice) Fritz, Flint, Michigan; grandchildren, Erin Poulsen, Darcie Poulsen, William H. Fritz, Anna Fritz; brothers, Robert W. King, Palm Desert, California; LeRoy O. King, Lawrence, Kansas. Preceded in death by his father, Harry A. King.

Memorial services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, June 13th, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1070 South Foothill Drive, where family will meet friends one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Memorial Fund at Zion Lutheran Church, or American Cancer Society, 610 East South Temple, Salt Lake City.
