Road construction will close sections of U.S. 6 near Price and I-80 at Tooele County, the Utah Department of Transportation said.
- Beginning Wednesday, June 12, U.S. 6 between West Price and East Price will be closed for three weeks, and traffic rerouted through downtown Price on U-55. Crews will remove existing pavement and apply a first layer of new pavement.After the three-week closure, lane restrictions will continue for several more weeks as additional paving work is done, UDOT said.
- The Black Rock interchange at I-80 and 2100 South will be closed for one year, beginning Friday, June 14.
The $5.4 million project involves replacing two bridges, improving curves and widening 2100 South. Work is scheduled for completion in mid-summer 1992.
UDOT advises motorists to take exits at either 4000 West, 5600 West or the Garfield cutoff at U-201.
