Elder Charles Didier of the Seventy created the Ciudad Ojeda Venezuela Stake, which includes the Cabimas, Ciudad Ojeda, Lagunillas, La Rosa, and Los Laureles wards.

Elder L. Lionel Kendrick of the Seventy created the Ozamiz Philippines Stake, which includes the Lam-An, Oroquieta 1st, Oroquieta 2nd, Ozamiz Catadman, and Ozamiz Manabay wards, and the Aloran, Jimenez, Mobod, and Tangub branches.Elder Carlos H. Amado of the Seventy created the Villa Nueva Guatemala Stake, which includes the Amatitlan, El Frutal, Petapa, Union, and Villa Nueva wards, and the Barcenas, Linda Vista, Palin, and San Jose branches.

Elsewhere, a stake was reorganized in Caracas, Venezuela.

New stake

CIUDAD OJEDA VENEZUELA STAKE: (Feb. 24, 1991). Created from the Maracaibo Venezuela South and the Maracaibo Venezuela stakes. President - Juan Silfrido Carrizo Chuecos, 33, marine captain, former high councilor, bishop, high priest group leader, and elders quorum president, married Marina Rodriguez. Counselors - Hugo Tomas Mata, 52, former stake president and counselor, bishop, and branch president, married Flor Maria Santeliz; Freddy Jose Lopez, 36, Church maintenance technician, former high councilor, stake clerk, bishop's counselor, ward clerk, and Sunday School president, married Daisy Josefina Ballesteros Duran.

OZAMIZ PHILIPPINES STAKE: (Nov. 25, 1990) Created from the Ozamiz Philippines and Oroquieta Philippines districts. President - Wilfredo Tumampos Romero, 40, manager of hatchery farm, former district president and counselor, branch president and counselor, married Gloria Apao Buaquina. Counselors - Norman Casintahan Insong, 29, Church Educational System coordinator, former stake president's counselor, bishop, district high councilor, district executive secretary, and district Young Men president, married Barbara Ann Fabre Perez; Hanorio D. Ampahan, 47, assistant professor in college of arts and sciences, Misamis University, former district president and counselor, branch president and counselor, married Juanita Sabaopan Padua.

VILLA NUEVA GUATEMALA STAKE: (Jan. 27, 1991) Created from the Guatemala City Guatemala Mariscal stake. President - Luis Arnoldo Gomez Garcia, 27, accountant and salesman, former stake mission president, stake executive secretary, stake single adults representative, and branch president, married Sandra Lissette Aquilar Davila. Counselors - Dario Antonio Lucas Cruz, 42, coordinator for legal affairs for Central America Area, former bishop, executive secretary, and high priest leader, married Melva Ivonne Paz Sosa; Fausto Nery Ruis Trampe, 32, electrical engineer, former Scout leader and various other priesthood leadership positions, married Akelma Elizabeth Garcia Vasquez.
