Pauline Bailey Smith, age 88, of Provo, died June 14, 1991, Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Provo, of a heart attack.
Born December 2, 1902 in Monticello, Utah to John E. and Magnolia Walton Bailey. Married Edward Robert Smith, July 1, 1925 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Received her education in Monticello and graduated from High School. Following her marriage, they made their home in Salt Lake City, then moved to Provo. She assisted her husband in his business, Yellow Cab and Transfer Company. Active member of the LDS Church, served in many positions. Member of the Provo Lady Lions. She supported and created a world of love, which embraced her family and friends.Survived by husband of 67 years, of Provo; one son, two daughters, Robert Bailey and his wife, Jeanette Smith, Provo; Mrs. Dale D. (Donna Gene) Parker, Bountiful; Mrs. Lee R. (Sheryll) Brown, of Seminola, Florida; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Pender Lee (Melba) Jennings, St. George. Preceded in death by a grandson, four brothers, one sister, and father and mother.
Funeral services, Monday, 11 a.m. at the Provo 12th-13th Ward Chapel, 945 East 700 North, Provo. Friends may call at Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center, Sunday 6-8 p.m. or at the ward chapel on Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, Eastlawn Memorial Hills, Provo.
