FATAL CRASH OF PLANE UNDER INVESTIGATION

The bodies of two men killed in an airplane crash on Mount Nebo on Saturday have been turned over to the state medical examiner's office for identification.

Juab County Deputy Sheriff William Thompkins said the single-engine plane crashed and burned at 3 p.m. Saturday. "No one saw the impact," Thompkins said.Witnesses reported they had seen the aircraft flying in a canyon, then saw black smoke and assumed the plane had crashed, he said.

The bodies were retrieved from the Reece's Flat area of Mount Nebo, Thompkins said.
